Technology
We believe that our clients deserve the highest standard of service and this includes giving them a thorough account of our investigation at a competitive and reasonable rate. We therefore invest in specialist equipment to facilitate this efficient and sought-after objective.
Thermal Imaging Camera:
A sensor technology. This non-contact, versatile measurement technique presents a rich visual image, using colours to represent a temperature. Its units facilitate a quick visual check of surface temperature and easy identification of hot spots, which are often an early indication of impending failure. By using thermal imaging as part of the maintenance operation, unplanned downtime and therefore cost can be reduced.
Underwater Camera and Monitor:
This equipment can be used to effectively observe underneath your boat whilst still in the water, therefore saving the cost of hauling. A hugely convenient and effective piece of equipment.
High Spec Digital Camera:
A specialist camera can take detailed and accurate images of relevant and specific areas of your boat for future reference.
Moisture Meter:
This apparatus measures the moisture content and is used to measure and detect vulnerable areas of the boat, usually on glass reinforced plastics (GRP) hulls and decking.

Ultrasound Thickness Meter:
This equipment is used for measuring the thickness of steel plating on steel vessels i.e. narrowboats. This device gives a digital readout of up to three decimal places and is a valuable device in vulnerable areas of corrosion.
